While sunlight is essential for life, it can accelerate molecular decay in natural products. The unique properties of violetglass filter out harmful rays from the visible light spectrum while allowing beneficial UVA and infrared light to penetrate.

Specifically, the glass permits 25%-45% light penetration in the 380-420 nanometer range (violet and UVA) and about 60% in the 730-1050 nanometer range (infrared). These parts of the spectrum help energize the organic molecules within, ensuring the products stay fresher for longer.
