TL;DR: Glissant makes four lubricant formulas, each suited to a different need: water-based (everyday, condom- and toy-safe), sensitive-skin (extra gentle, highest hyaluronic acid), sex-toy-focused (silicone-safe, easy cleanup), and oil-based (long-lasting glide, not condom- or silicone-toy-compatible). This page is a guide to choosing the right one.

How do I choose the right lubricant?

Start with what matters most for how you'll use it. Need something safe with condoms and toys for everyday use? Choose water-based. Dealing with irritation or dryness? Choose sensitive-skin. Shopping specifically for toy play? See our sex toy lubricant picks. Want longer-lasting glide and don't need condom or silicone-toy compatibility? Choose oil-based (Huile d'Amour, CBD/CBG).

What's the difference between water-based and oil-based lubricant?

Water-based lubricant rinses off with water, is compatible with latex condoms and silicone toys, and is the more versatile everyday option. Oil-based lubricant lasts longer without reapplication but is not condom-safe and can degrade silicone toys — it's better suited to non-condom, non-toy use.

What's the difference between sensitive-skin and water-based lubricant?

Both are water-based and pH-balanced (3.8–4.5). Sensitive-skin lube carries the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid in the Glissant line and is formulated for skin prone to irritation; water-based lube is the general-purpose version of the same base formula.

Is Glissant lubricant safe?

Glissant's water-based formula is cleared by the FDA as a 510(k) medical device (K183050). All formulas are free from glycerin, parabens, and added fragrance. As with any personal-care product, discontinue use if irritation occurs.
